All throughout the state of New Jersey, all through out the country actually, there are chapters of the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry still in existence. The Grange still exists as an agricultural organization in states where farming still employs a large number of people. Here in New Jersey the existing Grange Chapters have turned into community service organizations. I wrote about the New Jersey Grange for the Winter 2014 issue of Edible Jersey magazine. The issue is now available to pick up for free at many locations throughout the state.
